It's a crazy Crain life!: 11 Months

We are one month away from the twin's first birthday. It's truly hard to believe this year has gone by so quickly! I am really LOVING this age right now! Most days the babies are happy and easy. They're beginning to feed themselves, so I can just put some food on their trays and let them go at it. They are beginning to learn and do more each day, and it's just so fun!

They are both crawling like champs, pulling up all the time, and walking just a bit on furniture. Major sometimes ventures and lets go of furniture to stand by himself. I am sure they'll be walking soon! Both babies are proving to be great eaters! Neither seemed to be a big fan of avocado, but they seem to enjoy every other thing they've eaten.

Here's the monthly rundown:

Major

-has 5 teeth (two on top, three on bottom)
-wearing 12 month clothes (but can still fit in smaller - I just bought him a 3-6 month shirt for pictures that fits great!)
-likes to be fed
-still waking 1-2 times per night :(
-BEYOND sweet. I just love this sweet boy! He often reaches out for me to hold him. Melts my heart!
-likes to squeal
-Maj is beginning to grow some hair & it's crazy after his bath!
-Likes eating dirt and pom poms

Harper

-has 6 teeth (four on top, two on bottom)
-very comfortably in 12 month clothes. She can even wear some smaller 18 month stuff
-star eater
-Harp is the better sleeper - sleeps until at least 4:30 each night & goes back down pretty easily
-my giggly, giggly girl. I love her grin/squint face!
-I swear Harper was saying "all through the town" today after the song. So smart!
-Likes eating the end of the iphone charger
-Makes kissy faces/sounds

I took some pictures for the twins' birthday invitation the other day. These will have to suffice as their 11 month pictures bc I just don't feel like taking more :) It was an interesting feat to attempt to get both babies to sit still, look at the camera, and smile! I ended up with a few decent shots. They loved being outside and so did big sis!

On another note, I'd like to give a big Happy Birthday shout out to one of my nearest and dearest friends!!! I still remember the first time I met Carrie in her "Cats" t-shirt our freshman year of college :) Over our 4 years of school we became so close and served as one another's maid/matron of honor. A few years down the road, Carrie got pregnant & I was so thrilled for her. Weeks later, we found out we were expecting. Our girls are one month apart and it's been SO fun sharing motherhood joys and struggles together!!! When I announced to Carrie, and our other close friend Jennifer, that I was pregnant again, Carrie made her announcement, too! Our second pregnancies were due just weeks apart again! Sweet Brandt was born 6 weeks early after Carrie spent weeks upon weeks on strict bedrest. The twins were born 6 weeks later on Brandt's due date :) This sweet friend of mine is one of the strongest, yet most humble people that I know. I am beyond thankful that the Lord brought us together as friends and has allowed us to share our the journey of motherhood, and life, together!
